Michelle,

I think this is probably a response to Michael Cline & General Atlantic's purchases. He has been buying up a lot of stock the past two months.

I doubt that these kind of purchases are towards the expectation of a good quarter. I am speculating here, but I think something big is about to happen.

I just bought some at 8 5/8. Of course, I don't have any inside information. I just think that they are undervalued at 8 and change. Even if there is no acquisition, if they get their sales force back in shape, good things will happen. I have a lot of faith in their V.P. of Sales---I think Joe Broderick is going bring them roaring back. Or, maybe that's just wishful thinking <ggg>.

-Insider buying by Cline
-His "Harvard MBA" reputation
-comments on street.com
-hope for positive earnings surprise

well, this is all there is to it,as far as what's known on public.
In past couple of weeks I have not seen any new facts, anything (on either front -MANU or SAP, I2, ORCL)which would justify upward trend in this stock.
If i look at my points, i can only see:
-no takeover or sale of MANU in the near future (Cline is insider, and would not be able to execute this kind of a trade knowing about negotiations w. prospective partner)
-Harvard MBA ,together what he is doing and for whom, just make me feel a litle bit safer about the long term.
-street.com is closely followed by large crowd for a good reason. But then again: in this case they just repeated known facts.
-positive earnings surprise?would be nice, but something tells me not this Q.
Anyway, I like this company, and from what i overheard the Manugistics 6.0 should be a winner.

best of luck,
Henry
