Thanks, Doc. I also wish you could help! <G>

I'm having the most problems with slowness and just plain lockup after Fox has been up and running for several hours. As we discussed before, I delete Fox's "garbage files" several times during the day with a batch file, which I also invoke in my autoexec.bat on startup. I only have a dozen securities in each of three quote lists, so that isn't too much of a problem. I'm trying out a shareware program called NetTrace that basically automates the DOS 'ping' and 'tracert' commands, reporting back times and DNSs for intermediate sites. What I'm seeing is that I get bogged down with Fidelity's SprintNet server and the subsequent DNSs after that. Somehow, that's causing the lockup of the Fox program on my machine, sometimes actually requiring a reboot to get it running again.

Just for the heck of it, I also tried it out on my spare computer (an old P60) and have the same problems. What irritates me the most is that the worst of the problems only began after the last major upgrade. If I could go back one version, I'd be better off.

Thanks for the sympathy and the understanding ear,

jim
