I think this is exclusive to Schwab.

I have an AMTD account, and only two stocks hav4e changed margin status. They are CMPL and GNET. I also haven't seen any SEC reports on the subject either.

That's how they got the Hunts out of silver after they cornered the Market back about 20 years ago. Those boys were taking physical delivery in Chicago, and flying the silver away on Jets. If I remember that correctly....and finally the feds stepped in and said, 'no you can't run away with all our Silver', so they changed the margin requirments...hurt them boys bad. In the meantime everybody around here was selling spoons at hock shops...hundreds of people standing in lines selling Silver anniversery plates, teeth...you name it...if it had silver in it..they were selling it.
