Sprint and Orckit. news.com "though it will buy its own equipment for providing high-speed services. The company has put in requests for proposals from equipment makers, though it hasn't yet signed a contract, said Robinson." "Sprint already has DSL services in Las Vegas and Charlottesville, Virginia." ------- Charlottesville, VA is where Orckit's trial w/ Sprint is taking place. I'm guessing that Orckit will bid on this contract. Maybe we will hear something at CommNet '99 on Jan. 26-28?
