Hello, Did you see that on level II? Who is 'PERT,' one of the Market Makers? And perhaps you can answer a question for a newbie: are the Market Makers allowed to take measurable positions in stocks, or only allowed to short as needed to provide liquidity? Thanks in advance,

P.S. It was also locked in the morning for over 20 minutes at 10 1/2, before it was taken down. What DOES that mean???

Hi Dr.-

Didn't get to watch the tape yesterday, so I can't comment. Hope others can (as some already have).

Good to see the futures market up. That way, we can't blame the overall market if we go down today...should be a better indication of where we stand.
