Joe, the story is a little different than it would appear... The teacher is a white women who was teaching in a school where most of children are black. The black parents of the black children became very upset (to put it mildly)...they assumed (mistakenly IMO) that she meant to be disrespectful toward black people. Gerry

yes sad indeed, the color of the skin does not prevent one from being a racist, as demonstrated convincingly by the parents. ------ from they are smarter than you think file.... Overheard in a grocery store line... little boy to his mom "I want to be president when I grow up", the mother smiling to her son asks why. to which he responds "I won't have to sit in the sad chair when I am bad"
