Elwood: When I was a boy I thought all American men were named "Elmer". When I was at Oxford, most of the American tourists were blue-rinse widows touring the world on the proceeds of their late husbands insurance policies. If there was a man, among them, he would be called "Elmer". Usually, he walked behind the woman. More often than not he wore puce coloured (sorry, "colored") pants, a green plaid jacket, canary yellow shirt and Fred Astaire two-tone dancing shoes. Just thought you should know that.
