All - heard that gold may be used in brake linings? Any truth to this? Apparently it has unique properties in this regard- first I've heard of it I must say. E

12/03/98 - GOLD FESTIVAL OPENS IN NEW DELHI ON DEC 11 <Picture> NEW DELHI, Dec 04, 1998 (Asia Pulse via COMTEX) -- A month-long gold shopping festival opens in New Delhi on December 11 as part of the World Gold Council"s (WGC) efforts to increase the yellow metal sales in India. The event, on the lines of the Dubai gold festival, was a follow-up of a similar event held in the textile city of Coimbatore in southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu during Septemeber this year, WGC Manager (North) G S Pillai said. The special feature of the shopping festival, organised by Gold Society of Delhi, was that 500 gms of gold would be given every day to the winner of a lucky draw, he said.
