Douglas, As far as I can determine, chartwise and fundamentally AFLX looks safe up to the $12.00 range. Another stock that looks like a layup is MICN. I would like your interpretation of the figure. MICN is being bought by FEIC, When the merger is complete shareholders of MICN will recieve $6.00 in cash plus one share of FEIC stock, FEIC is currently trading 7. The last quarterly report by FEIC looks diasterous. Every writeoff immaginable. But, FEIC reports a book to bill of +1.3 for the next quarter. And all indications are that its at the bottom of a trading range. Any slight movement upward sends MICN up an equivalent amount. Downward pressure is little. Here is how I figure it, buy Micn at $ll.00 (current price), when the merger is approved by the shareholders you get $6.00 back in cash plus one share of FEIC at $5.00. FEIC is trading at $7.00 and to trade at $5.00 it would have to reach an all time low. With a very positive BTB not I do not feel that this is likely. From a risk adjusted basis how do you see this. Note. I bought more AFLX today and more MICN yesterday because I see far more upside and little downside in both stocks. Now if all of this fails and the tech stocks crash and burn I'll just re-enlist in the Peace Corps and ask for a post in Zimbawe, Zaire, or Rwanda, or any place that telephone are scare so I can ignore my portfolio for a couple of years.

Good Luck, Jerome
