Clarence,

Dave@Armos responded yesterday or day before. After multiple regular inquiries on my part, I had also become concerned about being led on, but his latest email implied that maybe viewsonic was leading THEM on. Perhaps we are just getting the carrot second hand. <g>

Be assured that I'll post here possibly even before I put in my own order <g> should the prices that SW got ever cross my awareness. (Yes, I am somewhat envious of the deals that SW and Dan (?) got @masterRepair. There are moments I resent living in the rust belt! <g>)

I did buy 3 refurbed P810s from TigerDirect. They hosed my billing (charge me 3 times - ouch!) but straightened it out readily enuf. Recommend picking up the phone for any big orders thru Tiger. TD called me shortly after the order expressing amazement that somebody would place an order of that size over the net. Probably more a reflection of TD's state of organization than anything else. Other sites shipment tracking works. TD's didn't.

I certainly would appreciate notice of a good deal on a large screen. I've been wondering if I should broaden my scope: Panasonic 21"? Mag 21"? I sure hope these things hang on until large flat panels become affordable. Of course by THAT time, we'll just be plugging a USB jack in behind each ear...

Paul
