Thank you for your speed analysis. I hopes it is right on! AMD needs
the match the Pentium MHZ too, but what you show me is that at the same MHZ the AMD K6-3 may prevail in benchmarks and possibly by a measurable amount.

The grumpy old men will differ, no doubt with a much less quantitative analysis.

Petz, fascinating sim data! By your numbers, upgrading from a K6-2 to a K6-3 provides the equivalent of upgrading your HD to a Cheetah, adding memory, and upgrading your video ... worth about $1,000 at pricewatch.com. If AMD ever gets this chip out the door, they will sell all they can make.
