Right on Osprey, I have teenagers who just do not have the concepts of buying as we grew up acquiring. The new wave of buyers are already out there, 20 to 25 year olds who grew up with PCs. Wait till the 15 to 20 year olds acquire their first real cash. I'm not saying they will ALL buy on the internet nor will ALL their purchases be on the internet, however, a much larger volume will be done this way. Bill Gate's comments are plain BS. He always has a motive and this one is easy enough....he doesn't control the internet, never has, never will. In fact, Microsoft will get more and more competition from AOL/Netscape....hmmm...AOL/Netscape.....AOL/BID.COM As well, what's the best way for Bill Gates to combat his competition from AOL/Netscape - bash the share prices of internet stocks, try to reduce AOL market strength through lower share prices. He's no dummy. The question is "will he succeed"? The bandwidth issue is just smokescreen as well - another attempt to put doubt in investors minds. Alot of future purchases will be made via tv/cable/internet melding, resulting in less pressure on bandwidth. All my opinion, of course.
