conference call # is 1-800-633-8284, enter code 1013210. new CEO will not take over until Jan 1 99. don't know effect of eps warning, but will be short. warned because they knew based on november #'s/trend, there is no way possible they will make the qtr. Shortfall mainly due to almost total loss of Bell Atlantic business (it went to ADTN, maybe look at them for eps surprise) still market leader in all segments of their business, but may be misleading because in a few segements they may have the only product (my thoughts) mgmt is now concerned with where the company is headed, not with the short term qtr to qtr concerns. pair has put alot of thought into their forward looking products. is now focused on customer & technology. new CEO says avidia is a good looking deal and is excited about future. (who wouldn't be, there's nowhere to go but up.) cc is about an hour. i may buy a little in the am, but without good avidia revenues til 3rd & 4th qtr 1999 nothing is happening soon. F*** the son o bastages who ran this company into the ground. hk
