"fusion between the palmtop computer and the cellphone" - sounds reasonable...we will all eventually be wired together more and more of our waking moments...

"It was very well written and discussed the risks in great detail with an honest tone" - I get the same vib from an overall look at the company...

The questions are:
"What/who are the competitors for similar products?" - don't know yet...

"Will Microsoft swoop in and take over this market or will they let the little boys play like they do with compiler add-ons?" - this from yesterday's news 'Leading hardware and software application developers, including Symbol Technologies (NYSE:SBL - news) and Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT - news), have reacted enthusiastically to the proposed Mobile Application Link initiative which is intended to provide an easy-to-implement application programmer's interface (API) to streamline the connectivity of handheld and smart phone data with the vast stores of information found in corporate applications and databases.

''We at Microsoft are excited to see innovators like AvantGo and Puma
Technology extend the Windows CE platform in new and compelling ways,
making the platform even more connected, and consequently even more
appealing for enterprise deployments,'' said Roger Gulrajani, group

Looks like it's ok for now...but they could always gobble them up later on...
