The trouble is that limtex's ''sky is falling'' posts
are only good for a minute upward wiggle in the indices.
For a true rally, you need multiple sightings of Michael
Metz, Bill Fleckenstein, Barton Biggs, ''bowtie'' Jimmy
Rogers, and Dr. Doom (Henry Kaufman) on the nightly news
shows. Today, we only had Bill Meehan, who is a far too
amiable bear. If I remember at the bottom in October 97,
and on October 8 98, we had a full house. I remember in
particular Henry Kaufman's pronouncement in October 97 that
stocks were far too risky, and that investors should put
their money in bonds. What he forgot to tell us was that
he was actually putting his money in ***Russian*** bonds,
as the investors in his hedge fund recently discovered!
