If you wish to engage Reggie seriously, be my guest. My posting style is still a bit warped from the political cesspool, sorry for the blowback.

No, "engaging" Regimond is a waste of time and an impossibility. He'll just bob and weave his way out of it.

BTW, here's that old "unfair double standard" bug-a-boo rearing its ugly head again:

Microsoft jabs Sun on Java, browsers
news.com

But Mark Murray, speaking after court recessed for the day, said the partnership between Sun and Netscape "was further demonstration that throughout the software industry, companies meet together, they plan together, they talk about ways to work together on complementary technologies." He added the government had an "unfair double standard" for painting Microsoft's same behavior with Netscape in June 1995 as an attempt to divide the browser market.

Not that PR spin is the same thing as trial evidence, but isn't it funny how that "theme" keeps popping up?

And, I still would like an explanation of the relevance of the Gates testimony.

Echos of Warren-Boulton:

With hardware costs diminishing in the low-end [Unix] server market, the cost of operating systems will become an ever larger fraction of the total purchase price, making Linux still more attractive on entry-level hardware.
