Remington - strange drop in price. Its not like REM has a great deal of shares outstanding compared to others. As of Nov 20/98 according to my Nickles Energy Weekly Operator Report it list REM as drilling 7 wells at the moment. Three rigs are drilling at Stoddart.Several weeks ago they only had two rigs drilling. In comparison to some big operators they are utilizing 2-3 x many rigs. You would think if the company was hurting for cash they wouldn't be drilling with seven rigs?? Just a thought from a REM shareholder.

Kerm and Serge, re: Remington

Does anyone have the terms of the CD offering? The major factor is of course the conversion price.

You are right Serge. The drop in share price appears to be too severe considering the reduction in the $300MM bank debt. The $20MM private placement announced earlier has actually increased the book value/share.

I have not heard about any production problems. The impression I have is for increased production (as yet unquantified) for 1999 at increased selling prices. In my opinion Remington is one of the most undervalued Canadian oil/gas producers.
