Zeem,

The helping kids stuff is great. That's much more
than I'd say for Nike, yet which company do you
really think is worth 11 Billion? America loves
Amazon, but in the end guages companies according
to assets vs. liabilities. Nike pays Malay kids
20 cents an hour. They retail shoes for $150. +
that cost 2 dollars to make. And they could sell
them on the internet, too, if they wanted.

Mike

Zeem, Let's be honest. I give Bezos and his PR machine more credit than his books.
ps Bezos pr skills makes Larry Allison look like an amateur.

That's great - a good thing to do and good PR. I think net companies should do a lot of work to enable charities - the disparity between information haves and have nots worsens social and economic divisions. The Internet is a powerful force in our society but can be used either as a great equalizer or great depressor of equality of opportunity.
