mark, I use Nuts & Bolt 98, which I feel is superior to Norton. I was a Norton user since I started using computers, but I was having MAJOR conflicts with NU3. So 2 months ago, I now use MacAfee's Nuts & Bolts98. Check Symantec's tech support chat site, see the complaints about NU3. I ran every checker in Nuts & Bolts 98. No problems. The system has stabilized since I now use MS Word 7.2. I am not holding my breath, as this bug may show up again. It must be certain software, like anything that is not made or endorsed by Microsoft, if you have the competitions software on your computer, you will have nothing but grief. Remember the old Microsoft saying, "The jobs not done, until Lotus won't run."
