mr.mark, I have not used Navigator 4.08 but had 4.04 (I think) - the one before 4.5. And that had no mail. From the web site Netscape Navigator 4.08 #1 stand-alone browser! - English Language home.netscape.com They're not real clear on this. I guess "stand-alone" means browser only. I'd also recommend 128 bit Strong Encryption*. G.

I would be get reset by peer error messages or just plain hang up. This problem was never consistent. However, when I used IE, poof it worked fine. I believe this started with v4.0 but wouldn't bet a buck on it. You might want to try SmartUpdate (I believe the URL is home.netscape.com. You have to register, but it is free. Dwane
