It kind of reminds me of DVD...this originally meant Digital Versitile Disk, I believe, but so many people kept referring to it as Digital Video Disk that people believe that "V" always meant video (it didn't ;-))

Actually, it originally did mean Digital Video Disk, but the industry decided that was too restrictive. They tried to get "Versatile" substituted but "Video" was too entrenched and besides, who would comprehend what the "Versatile" meant? Could the player do windows?
Hmmm. Turns out it could do WINDOWS. :-)

You mean I can't blame Microsoft for this? <g> You could be right on the Storage/System Area Network, but at this point, Storage Area Network is the more recognized term, and I'm not sure why Microsoft wouldn't use that term.
