Here is what Kathy Knight said about this same question over on RB.

You asked, "Is there any competition with us for the same or similar technology? Are Gil's shares restricted,
as to selling them now? "

First, I believe Gil has no shares to sell. My understanding is that he lost his eligibility for his options because
he didn't stay for a full year, so they were cancelled. He was not given free trading stock and gave up all rights
to anything when he resigned.

I might add that Gil kept his word about his options and Paul gives
Gil his highest regards. I think whoever Paul brings in that he will
be the CEO of NPCT.
I truly felt Gil would get something accomplished regarding some form
of partnership as I feel he definitely knew the technology very well.
I had heard for months that he was close to making a deal but it never
came to fruition. I was told patent problems were the main reason for
any partnership being finalized. My understanding is that there is already a party they are looking at to replace Gil. I feel that Gils resignation was a
possibility for some time as I think there had been lots of pressure
put on him for months and when he couldn't secure a partnership I think some doubt set in as to his abilities to formulate a deal.

Right now Pauls main concern is securing a new financing for the company.
