wily,

Au contraire...his order showed up as the inside bid, above a bunch of other "chips" (slang for Archipelago orders) on the bid. If you could see the ARCA book you would realize how influential ARCA is. And yes, it IS really helpful to see the ARCA book, IMO. Now that you mention it, I would love to see the ISLD book as well. Anybody know how to display it on Realtick?

R

Ps. I think Watley has a ARCA display option..check it out

Another way to think of level II...

In the case of the order you described, am I
right that his order didn't show up on the bid,
since it was above the ask; and that you knew
about it through the ARCA book--right?

The Bid represents $$$$ chasing stock, nothing less and nothing more.
The Offer represents Stock available for $$$$.

The ARCA book is integrated right into the level II for all terra nova users (victims <gggg>).

We had the island book way back in the early days at MBT.

Back then I was trading so tiny that I did not appreciate having the isld book in my level II.

Now I am wishing for it.
