Sandy, re: the meaning of disintermediation

Maria B., NYSE, app. 09:40 EST
(audio): "we're really rockin' and rolling down here..."
(video): a television personality employed by a major component of the military-industrial-media/entertainment complex stands on the floor of the NYSE in a smart, bright red business suit while in the background are men in business suits and floor jackets standing around a post of telephones discussing financial transactions.

Now unless the trading session started with Sandy Weil stage-diving from the dais to the trading floor after he brought down the gavel that ain't what they call rock and roll.

On a more serious note, I'd argue that Kevin McCullough's referring to the CS 1st Boston Conference as that conference "we've been covering" is an extremely disturbing representation considering that the presentations were closed to the press.

Good trading,

Tom
