Mike

Have you noticed the increased use of the "ipso dipso" form of argument by analysts, pundits and strategists? Goes something like this: Investors have bid the Dow back up to a new high, ergo {insert "dream du jour" here}. In the WSJ yesterday, two twits on page A22 argue that the global economic system is not entering recession because....Dow hits new high???

In a mutated form, the argument makes claims about the real economy (as opposed to financial fantasy land) based upon stock market. Little article in USA Today on friday after Thanksgiving arguing that Christmas looks good for retailers. Did they quote management at retailers? Shoppers? Trucking Companies? No, they quoted stock market analysts!!!!

I sold LDF and SAF last week; still holding APB, APF, SOA & IAF.

You must really like SLB and FLC now<g>. So do I.

Oh, Happy Birthday. Apparently, MMV is collecting moldy $1 bills for your use later tonite! I know you like to use quarters, but we're tired of seeing the girls slap you around.
