Are you using it from 9:30 to 9:45?

I have talked to 6 FOX users all in different parts of the country and they are all having the same problems.

Doc and Dave:

Thanks for all the discussion. I wasn't ignoring you, I was trying to get things working again. This morning Fox logged me on before the market opened, and then everything locked up -- I think it was my local telco's circuitry that queered the dew.

At any rate, things seem to be back to normal now (1 1/2 hrs after the open -- whoopie!) so will see what transpires next.

For doc-- yeah, I use the Fido 800 number when there is a problem with my ISP. When everything else on the net works fine and only Fox gives me problems, I tend to blame Fido, not the ISP.

For Dave-- yep, yesterday afternoon was awful. Not only did Fido's servers max out, but it seemed that Fox itself went into a "death spiral." The only thing that makes sense, with Gringodoc's lack of problems, is something from the intermediate Sprintnet routers. The whole problem just doesn't seem to make sense.

later, guys,

jim
