While I continue to move with extreme caution in this current market environment, I believe that you are missing some important issues which currently are moving the market. The process of lowering interest rates worldwide has had a big effect. Even if the lowering can't cure the overall problems, it adds much needed relief to many parts of the world. I understand that these actions also continue to fuel the equity bubble expanding in the US market which is why I continue to stay on the cautious side.

I don't believe that pounding the table on any one investment idea is appropriate. Gold is cheap, there is no doubt, but it's not the cure all for what ails the global markets. I hold a small gold stake that's very close to break even. I will consider increasing my gold stake after there is a breakdown in the dollar, not before. If you add too early, you lose and you would have been better off sitting in cash.
