Alex, when I think of permissive liberal parents I think of people exactly like that mother who hired the stripper, because I believe that they are mostly motivated by peer pressure, who have no idea of proper child development or the truth that children are naturally conservative and like firm standards and expectations. I think permissive liberal parents are way too concerned about being liked by their children instead of respected. And did I mention that having no common sense at all is something I associate with permissive liberalism as well? To me it is represents a very unbalanced way of looking at the world. It is also heavily involved with entitlement and unreality and a shirking away from natural consequences for behavior, and the value of hard work, and the idea that each of us has a definite role in creating what happens to us.
