Interesting find, Ken. Note the absence of any mention of cable operators in thier "About Amteva" page, while they triple cover LEC, CLEC, Telcos. ISPs? The breakthrough timing they mention below being in '95 also seems to coincide with the bringing on of Evslin by T from MSFT. Evslin, as you may recall, left T last summer, and now heads up ITXC. "Amteva develops carrier-class messaging solutions for Service Providers, including CLECS, LECs, ISPs, and Telcos. the company was launched in 1995 after a breakthrough research project at AT&T brought together packet networks (data) and circuit-switched networks (telephony). Based in Richmond, Virginia, Amteva partners with leading organizations in the IT and telecommunications industries."
