I received a fax from Dr. Brown!!! More Information!!!

I'm sort of stunned at the attention my phone calls have been getting, but what the heck. Its better than trying to second guess what Hearx is up to. I'm a terrible typist, so I'll just hit the highlights.

Concerning California:

1. Leases have been finalized for the 14 of the 15 needed locations.
2. Fourteen of the fifteen audiologists have been offered employment.
3. It is estimated that the first center will open shortly after Thanksgiving.
4. Kaiser has fully endorsed the marketing program, which means we have a real opportunity to capture the $28M of hearing aid business derived from their members in Southern California.

Florida:

Our penetration of the Florida market continues. Estimated revenues this year in this market will be approximately $20M with center operation profits of approx. $3.5M. Because 1/6 of our corporate overhead will be absorbed by the new joint venture, the profits from our Florida centers in 1999 should come close to covering all corporate overhead.

Northeast:

The Blue Cross in New Jersey and GHI in NY (begins 12/1/98) should go a long way to resolving the losses in NY and NJ. Discussions are continuing with several Penn. healthcare providers.

Our priority for 1999 is to establish a positive cash flow and profitability. We have hired a new investor relations firm to stimulate buyers and hope that our existing shareholders will increase their positions.

*****************

This may be old news to most, but some of it is new to me. Someone on the Yahoo board a good question. Why can't Dr. Brown announce that the buyback has started? I'm going to work on getting an answer for that. I also have no idea who the new PR Firm is, do you have any idea?

I think Dr. Brown has realized that the "bottom line" is what is most important to shareholders. I believe that we will see the stock work its way back up very soon.

Am I just repeating what everyone knows? Let me know.

Thanks

Donna
