Daniel,

My prediction (and I have said it here before)
that the House will vote a couple of articles
of impeachment and send it to the Senate for
the new session. It will go down in the Senate
by several votes. At best, the Republicans
can hope to pick up 10 Democrats to vote for
removal from office. At worst, only 30-40
Senators will vote for removal. Ever wonder
why Bubba has not told the truth? Its because
he must stick with his semantic argument or
be convicted of perjury.

It does not really matter though, in the long
run. There is no way the Republicans will let
Bubba build any sort of liberal agenda. At
best, Clinton can hope that the economy stays
strong and that no serious developments (Iraq
Bosnia, North Korea, Asia Finance, terrorists)
emerge to test his Presidency. If all goes
well, he can leave office with some dignity and
perhaps get credit for some of the things that
went well during his Presidency.
