E-Commerce has not been proven at all yet.

Certainly in some Computer business, or EDI industry systems,
but in conventional retailing, stores still generate between
30% - 60% profits depending on the product line. Too much
R&D is going into E-Commerce for anyone to know yet if that
business model is in fact "cheaper" then normal retailing.
All these stocks and companies are growing on the promise
of this idea, but few have yet to reap it's core benefits.
