I just saw the story on the acquisition this morning also Ian.

Been doing some heavy research on the hdd industry and the outlook, and what I'm finding is that IBM from a technical standpoint is pretty well the leader in GMR technology. GMR manufacture is a more difficult process than MR for a number of reasons - and the IBM selection of SFLX to run their Mexico operation looks more impressive the more I look into the details regarding the technical issues.

Lots of new devices will utilize GMR hdd's for data storage - it will be cheaper than flash memory - and the growth forecasts for the hdd and GMR sector are significant, at least from a unit standpoint.

Will issue a full report in a week or so here. From what I see, it will be good news for SFLX.
