I think that there will be some companies that make money on every single e-commerce transaction. The items require delivery and you will likely charge them on a credit card. Best bets - MBNA credit cards - symbol KRB, and Federal Express FDX.

AOL credits 'viral marketing' for Net success
The rapid growth of the Internet can be attributed to high levels of satisfaction among online users, according to a top executive at America Online. "We asked people whether they had ever recommended to friends or family that they should go online," explained Marshall Cohen, AOL senior vice-president of brand development. "Eighty percent of the respondents said they had. This is the best word of mouth there can be. It's almost a form of viral marketing where people are trying to get others to come aboard," Cohen told CBS.MarketWatch.com.
Cohen also commented about other findings released by the company as part of a survey of 1,000 adults who subscribe to online and Internet services, conducted by Roper Starch Worldwide. More than three quarters, or 77 percent, believe that being online has made their lives better, and eight in 10 say that it makes many activities easier. "We call it convenience in a box, Cohen said. "Being able to look at your stocks, do research on products, or just find things out. It was hard the 'old way'; it's easier the new way."

The research also found that 71 percent of the online consumer population has been online for under three years; 29 percent have been online for a year or less; almost half, 44 percent, say the interactive medium is almost "a necessity," and of those in the population who own a laptop computer, 47 percent take it on vacation. "What we found most surprising about the research," said Cohen, "was how quick the adoption of the Internet is happening."
