Update,
Y2k and me - our local utilities Greater Denver.
After two weeks, electric & natural gas provider got back with me.
I found out (as I suspected) the natural gas has a (far) less than 1% chance of failure. System is pressurized by self contained natural gas
turbines.
But not as I thought, they reported less than 10-15% chance of electric failure. Sounds like they are on top of it. The representative would be willing to up his own money in a failure bet.
Think I'll hook up the Onan, after all, I've got it (had it for some time) and power it by natural gas.
He also said they (and their sister company in the panahandle of Texas) were in better shape than some in our country. They have to be, they supply main power to Rocky Flats here and Pantex in Amarillo TX .
