I'll say in again. I just hate to be put in a position of chasing a stock. Almost EVERYTIME I try it, I get a bloody nose. Ask Sojourner about WAVO, or me about EGGS :( ... oh well.

If it's moving up real slow, that's a different case.

When I had time to do a lot of daytrading, I used to look at DLJ's losers by % at about 3:00pm Eastern time. I'd pick out the three worst losers, then go to the news and see which one's were down due to misinformation or no information, then I'd buy in at the bottom of the curve.

I know this sounds amateurish, but it worked consistently. One time, a metal company crashed on a rumor that they sell to Asia, which was false. The stock went from 4.75 to 2 in two hours. I got in at 2.1 and the next day it went back up to 4.5.

My key was not being too greedy, I'd sell on just a very small gain.

As for IPOs, I look for creative ways to get in at the IPO price if at all possible. Chasing is just too deadly a game.

Once people start spreading "news" or rumors of news, it's already sometimes too late.

I don't mind sitting out IDCN for a long time. Been also watching PRWT, the interest in this stock is amazing. 50+ posts a day. .02
Don't own any yet.

Good luck out there!!

WAVO was a bummer.
Buying was continuing up until the last minute on Tues.,
I was certain there would be a gap up on Wed morning.
Wrongo - gap down.
But the technique worked great with GERN, SHRP,
and NAVR. I wish I had sold all my shares though
in NAVR the first day of the gap.
Ate up some of my gains.
Still this was my best week yet.

I don't try and catch IPOs - good idea about WitCapital.
I will check into that.
I played UBID through MALL.
It only worked, because of he recent internet frenzy.
I sold MALL last week.

I am at peace with IDCN. I can let sit until it hatches.
If it takes six months or more - fine. I expect at least $100k
returns. In the meantime I plan on doing more tech analysis
and try to be early on volatile stocks.
