David... Great post. . I bought a computer in late 1992 and it came with both a 5 1/4" 360 Kb and 3.5" 1.44 Mb drive.
I used to be a technician at a computer manufacturer
for over 10 years, I was the first person I knew that ripped out the 5.25" drive and refused to accept data on anything but a 3.5" disk. I think that was on a 386/16 machine.
I guess I'm just posting to hear the echo, sure is dead around here.
