I have ascending triangles on RON,WFT,HAL,UTI,NE,NBR,TMAR,SII,DO.

Descending triangles on MIND and PTEN. UNT and TBI not sure what the formation is.

The OSX can only be described as a triple bottom, if it holds here.! any decisive move to the upside in the next two weeks makes me almost certain that these levels will hold. I can even envision a fourth quick test of the bottom, although not likely. I see more like a pop next week then another retest with higher lows. Whatever the moves are be sure to get a little extra R & R this weekend we might need it next week; with overly normal volatility...have a great weekend.....gregor

Michael, Lots of OS stocks look good here. But if they are all cheap why not buy the "best of breed", right? I agree with you on RON and WFT. I might try to pick off HAL or SLB about 4-5% lower- maybe get an intraday dip if we pull back hard on any given day before January 1st..... As to drillers a bunch look good. And be aware that they all are reducing their cost/foot of drilling hole.

As to drillers note: even if rig rates fall, be aware that profit margins will not necessarily far either as far or as fast....

In fact I was on a drilling rig last week (lots of softer sandstone formations admittedly)that was averaging 1550 feet/day and hit 1850 feet/day on one day! That tends to lower drilling costs....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
