JR,

Remember that I am a mainly a trader, and that's why I shorted DELL (which I long most of the time!) from 72 and covered at 61 15/16.

At that time, I did not believe that the Fed rate cut could have such a huge impact on the market and thought that the DOW should have gone back to 8200-8500. But I was WRONG! All the great high tech issues have made the new highs with the exception of poor MD. MD tried very hard to break the gap between 66-69 the last 3 sessions, and if not for the stupid Brazil thing, we should have already been there. Barring any major shock from the global market, look for the DOW to test 9300 again within the next two weeks, and look for mementum players to bid DELL over 70 before Thursday. Actually I feel that we should see 75 before the option expiration, and might close at 70 by then on a little pull back.

But that does not change my view that DELL is overvalued at that price. It's just that it will be less overvalued compared with the likes of CSCO, SUNW, INTC, EMC (with the exception of Softie), and most likely, the semi issues. Seriously, what's the fxxx going on with AMAT, TXN, etc? AMAT was making more $ two years ago and was trading at a PE of less than 10. And right now...I just don't get it.:)

good luck,
larry!
