Just for the fun I thought to walk in the memory lane of not too long ago (in fact just about a month ago), and see what the shorts were saying! And all following posts are from when the stock was at $39/shr. I really am not the type who enjoys this but I feel the arrogance and abuse some of these shorts were giving longs on this thread justifies this memory lane walk!

Reality is, XlNX has had nothing to show for a PE of 30 or more for a year and a half.Hmmm maybe thats why the Bulls are disappearing from this thread.Wishful thinking ? XLNX bulls have being wishing for a year now,yet XLNX fundamentals keep deteriorating. BTW,once Mike Burke is negative on a company the way he is this one,the grave is already been dug, all you have to do is lower it in the ground.MB is not some yahoo analyst you see on CNBS Bubblevision or Joe Blow short thread. He his the real McCoy.

my avg. is 39+. Iam in until it hits low teens or single digits. Short term? Would be nice. But I think it'll take at least 2 weeks to get there. MP

And let us not forget the absolute self claimed god of investment Mike Burke's arrogant post:

Neil,

Now a day, after I saw Yahoo went over 200 (should be 400 if w/o
a split), I don't believe in any fundamental data anymore. If the
fund managers think the stock has future, the stock will run up
(not just go up) no matter how high it is. If the fund is doing
some small dumping and rotation then a good company like CSCO
can go down 50% in a few days (it just happened a few weeks ago).

For me, I am now only believing in the HOPE, since it is much more
valuable than anything else. Actually, it may be easier for us to
trade stock in this way. Just need to follow the crowd, and don't
ever try to ask for the reason. To spend the efforts to study the
company report is totally wasting of your time.

As for XLNX, in my opinion, the top has not yet been confirmed
with today's movement. It still has more room to go up until you see
some significant dumping (by fund managers. of course). To me, it is
too early to guess where is the peak of XLNX in this unbelievable
bull run.

neil, this stock hasn't grown earnings in nearly 3 years. maybe longer. why do the bulls appear all excited now? nothing better to do with their money? a little game of stock chicken to liven things up? or, rather, do they actually envision some specific drivers that will send xlnx into growth mode (admittedly, this would be a first ;-)?

xlnx is on my radar list for puts right now.
