I have a lot of contacts at universities (from a past job at a supercomputer company). I plan on contacting some of them and asking if they're familiar with this technology, since its been around for 10 years in their environment. I do agree that the credentials of some of the principals look good as does the technology; all they have to do is turn it into a sellable product at a fair price and they'll be off and running. However, if they delay the delivery date of mid-February by more than a few weeks things could get ugly.
