Tokyo stocks edge up on Dow in early morning
TOKYO, Dec 7 (Reuters) - Tokyo stocks edged up in early morning trade on Monday as market participants were encouraged by the Dow Jones Industrial Average's sharp gains overnight, traders said.

They said, however, many players were still cautious due to concerns about deterioration of the supply-and-demand condition in the market in light of Friday's special quotation of futures and options, as well as a planned offering of as many as one million government-held shares of NTT.

As of 0015 GMT, the benchmark Nikkei 225 average index stood at 14,742.54 points, up 102.57 points or 0.70 percent from last week's close.
