I never said that WCTI was doing anything wrong;
I was simply responding to the comparison between
them and Yahoo, a fully-reporting company with a
tangible product (although there's no way its worth
its current price!). My intention is to make those
novice investors out there in SI-land who have never
invested in a BulletinBoard stock aware of the potential
pitfalls, and to lower the expectations of those who have
pipe dreams of $100/share in the next couple of months.
As for the investor's kit, I'm comparing it to others I
have received from even smaller companies, and I was
disappointed. The two examples I gave, PMKY and TMCO,
were not comparisons to WCTI; I just wanted to show what
can happen in this crazy market. All you need to do is
put out a press release stating your going to create, update
or revise a web site and bamm! the price jumps(PMKY).
Or in the case of TMCO, investors were so eager to buy
Ticketmaster Online (TMCS) that when the symbol was
accidentally? published incorrectly in an article as TMCO,
some company with no relation to the internet jumps from
25 to 65 in an hour! Not only did the people who bought that
stock not do any DD, they didn't even check out a price quote,
or they would have seen that the company was the wrong one.
You'd better believe there are people (companies) out there
who are going to take advantage of this.

As for the 50K it costs to get on TV, well,
that 50K bought them a market capitalization increase of
many, many times their 50K. If by some small chance
they actually are perpetuating a scam,
that would be one smart move, wouldn't you say?

That said, I personally plan on buying some WCTI on
the next dip (I was waiting until next year to free up
some cash) but the newsletter caused the price to
jump prematurely. Given the current internet stock
feeding frenzy, I expect the price to get into the
low double digits after they announce their product,
and then another jump once they move to the NASDAQ.
No way I want to miss out on that!
