You see jimpit, when you want to have an intelligent debate as opposed to name calling you can do it. About polls I think if you give it some thought you may change your opinion.First You and your friends and their friends. How many are we talking here a couple hundred? I mean that actually have said they have never been polled. If Harris or Gallup do a survey they may poll a thousand or so selected people that represent a cross section of Americans.Of course this isn't perfect but when they agree with one another consistently they are probably close to being right give or take a few percentage points. Two hundred and sixty million people in the US the odds of them hitting one of your friends are long indeed.
The problems I have with the implication that this is a fixed game are these, people can't keep their mouth shut some body would tell, what is to be gained just to promote a political agenda? The risk would be enormous if caught, out of business. What of course they do is [when hired by someone with an ax to grind] is ask loaded questions for sure. But you can easily see through this by just looking at the question,no? How loaded is "Should he be impeached?"
<<I believe perjury is an impeachable offense>> Well I don't. Doesn't matter what we both believe. The Constitution says "high crimes and misdemeanors". Does perjury fall into this category? I don't know what you do for a living but unless it's a Constitutional scholar your opinion is no better [or worse ]than mine. Most C S's don't seem to think it is. You make some other good observations that I would like to respond to but this is as long winded as I get.
