Oh? Don't trust'em aye???

Do you have access to Intel's pricing to DELL?

As for cost reduction through increased efficiency,I'll have you know the company do derive cost savings when an order is placed through the internet and when customers use the website for technical assistance and diagnosis of problems etc etc bypassing a 'live' Dell technical assistant over the phone and that is no bull.

If you think the company is lying and doubt the management's honesty and integrity perhaps you should think about putting your money elsewhere if you are an investor in the company that is.

BTW: This an excerpt from a news item that appeared in CNET when Intel announced the price cut back in Jul.98,just to make a point and the point being Intel usually announces a price cut every 3 months, but this year they have done more than that if I am not mistaken.I also don't think Intel normally (or 'abnormally' for that matter) announces individual pricing contracts made between their largest customers like Dell and Compaq etc etc.

'The reductions will be the latest in this year's flurry of pricing activity by the industry's leading chipmaker (Intel). The July round would be the fourth desktop processor price cut in 1998, and at least two more are scheduled for September and October. In past years Intel has cut prices four times in the whole year...'
