Here's another interesting little post from YHOO for your reading pleasure..

<<<However, the impression I am getting at this point is that SRCM is not currently concerned with the price of the stock; that will come in time.>>>

pppattie,

Whaaa? Huh?

Why would SRCM put out 3 press releases in 2 days THAT SAID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, if they were not interested in the stock price? Talk about neophyte, sounds like you are a stock and tech neophyte bud...

Particularly when you said MSFT was the loser of the show. How stupid is that?

MSFT's WebTV signed and announced deals with SA and GIC to produce WebTV's product in a cable version on the new GIC 5000 platform. As you recall, the GIC 5000 is essentially a NetPC with a cable modem.

Since GIC and SA supply 90+% of the worlds settop boxes to cable companies - I'd say that's a pretty significant announcement.

MSFT has the money to go to a cable company and say - if you take our box in your market, we will provide 20 million of advertising support to help get cable subscribers to buy the product from you. No other interactive TV product company has the money to do that bud. Looks to me like they are clearly the BIG winners of the show. The news that MSFT is going from a 56k phone line to cable is HUGE bud. Speed increase of 10-20 times, real time video... etc etc...

WebTV has a proven product with over 500,000 subscribers, they have already sold out of all product for Christmas. They don't have to worry about their system crashing ever ten minutes like SRCM, and any cable company who signs with them knows MSFT won't be going anywhere soon.

Can SRCM say any of that? How in the world can SRCM compete with that?

Please come back with an argument - if you have one. I'd love to hear it...

ALl comments IMO

Cheers Steve
