Maddog/Sweetpete - here is that post from Yahoo board One of the two of you responded to my post a couple of days ago. Sorry I don't remember which one of you did it. It was regarding December page views and cash flow. I owe you a response. BTW, a similar post of mine is now on the SI home page if you have forgotten. Never (and I mean never) has management ever indicated that page views would be down in December vs. September. They have talked generally about holiday periods, etc. But the growth of the internet is expected to outweigh such seasonality. Anyway, who knows, page views might be up. Yahoo has added some new "free" services. As an example, shopping. Yahoo shopping is a complete joke and will never make money. Yahoo is in the process of being disintermediated every day. What I mean by that is that amazon, ebay, the broker, etc. don't need and don't value the traffic anymore. Sorry to ramble off point. The main thrust of my post was regarding the Softbank incest. The SI management picked up on that given the excerpt on their home page. The other area that you took issue with was my cash flow comments. That a majority came from interest income and tax benefits from stock option exercises. I may have been a bit aggressive on this point. However, you were aggressive the other way. Here is the correct analysis (all from the 10-Q) Net cash provided from operating activities is 68.6 million. You used the 99 million which included proceeds from stock issuance and other capitalization items. $68.6 is from operations. Within the 68.6 is 8.8 of tax benefits from stock option exercises (hardly a bullish signal), about 5 came from interest income (look at the income statement), and 23.7 came from deferred revenue (people pre-paying for advertising that we have not delivered). To be fair you could offset the 23.7 with the 8.2 of accrued expenses. These two accruals netted 15.5 million. Add the 15.5 to the 8.8 and the 5 and you get about 30 million which is about 40% of the total cash flow. Sorry for being too aggressive. I guess I got a little emotional with the whole prayer thing. PAY ATTENTION TO SOFTBANK. The Japanese are experienced with bubbles. See Ya.
