Last, Don't attribute 'parasitic' to me. I wasn't saying day trading is parasitic. I pointed out that some consider it so. Funny, those same people probable think Market Makers grabbing a 1/16 or more off each transaction of liquid stocks like DELL, INTC CSCO or MSFT are performing a needed function. totally agree with you .... trading and investment is the means by which companies are weighted for its worth every day of its existence. Without such a dynamic yard stick, it will become a institution destined for extinction. the equity market, in essence, is the life blood of the corporate world.
