Brian,

Seems like the race is truly on.

AMD's success in 98 and threats for 99 is shocking Intel to move much faster than it's original schedule.

After some reflection I think this is a good thing. As we ramp up to 500Mhz by mid-next year at reasonable prices I think lots of folks will dump/upgrade their existing PC's (myself included). I have two at the house and will almost certainly upgrade both of them.

So this rapid speed escalation will probably rapidly grow the size of the market. This should be very good for Intel/AMD/National.

The situation where both Intel and AMD can keep growing sales/profits/margins may well continue into late next year. At that point AMD should have Fab 30 and K7 ramped up and be much stronger than it is today.

Boy, things sure look good for all the semi guys right now.

Regards,

Kash

Brian,

Re: "Intel moving quickly to .19 ..."

Looks like you got "burned" again, Brian ... Please take off your AMD
"blinkers" and take your HYPE to the "twit" thread, pronto. <ggg>

Make It So,
