The recent arrest of dissidents will not affect the Chinese economic development and thus the prospects of this company. In the past few years, every time when a "dissident" incident become serious enough to threat China's economic ties with western countries, Chinese government backed down. They even had to let Wang, Dan, the main leader of the 89 student movement to come to US under the pressure from US government. Another most famous dissident, Wei, Jingshen (who was nominated for Nobel peace price) was also allowed to come to US under the insistence of US government. Each time, the Chinese government was able to use the release of the dissident as "chip" in exchange for ecnomic/market favour from US. (Don't get me wrong, I don't endorse this type of practice although I strongly support the Chinese economic development.) Unfortunately, the recent arrested dissidents are not famous enough and will not become any major incident, which means US and other western countries will not likely to make it an issue and try to rescue those people.
